When are the Clubs open?Buena Vista Club hours during the school year: Monday-Thursday, 3-7 p.m. Friday, 3-6:30 p.m. Salida Club hours during the school year: Monday-Wednesday, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Teen Night- First and Third Thursday of the month, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Summer hours and school holidays* at both Clubs: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. *Check your Club’s calendar under the Our Clubs menu to confirm holiday schedules or call 719-539-9500.

What is there to do?Our Clubs offer a wide range of activities, from academic help and career development to arts and crafts, computer classes, games, sports, field trips and much more. Visit the Programs menu for details.

How much does membership cost?Our After-School Program costs $100 per year. Full-day programs on Fridays (in Salida), holidays and during the summer are $10 per day per child. Teens (ages 13+) memberships are FREE!

Do the Clubs offer financial aid?Yes, we do. Please contact our administrative office at 719-539-9500 for information about financial-aid eligibility. If more than two children from one household attend the Club, the $10 daily fee for full-day programs is waived for the third child. No child is turned away due to inability to pay.

Who can join a Boys & Girls Club?Membership is open to young people ages 6-18.

How do I become a Club member?Our membership year runs from August through the following July. A membership form must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian each year. You can mail, email or bring a membership form into one of our clubs. For new members, a parent or guardian must come in for an in-person orientation. There is no waiting period to join; kids and teens may enjoy Club activities the same day.

Is transportation provided?Busing is provided EVERY school day in Salida from Longfellow Elementary. No busing is provided at the BV Club because the Club is located at Avery Parsons Elementary.

How often can a member come to the Club?Members may attend as often as they want—every day or occasionally. Our programs allow for participation on either a regular or drop-in basis.

Do the Clubs serve meals?We serve snacks every day during the after-school and summer programs. Youth need to bring their own (cold) lunch on all full-day programming days.

Do you have volunteer opportunities?We do! We appreciate the help of volunteers with administrative tasks and opportunities within the Clubs (tutoring, coaching, snack preparation, etc.). Please contact our Clubs' executive director, Brian Beaulieu, at 719-539-9500 to sign up.
