"I’ve been involved with the BGC for more than 30 years, from Boston to Austin and Salida to Buena Vista. I love to watch the staff and volunteers work their magic at the BGC each day and have seen the Club inspire thousands of kids in so many ways."

Alison Ramsey
Finance Director and Office Manager

Her role as Finance Director for the Club couldn’t be a more perfect fit. Alison attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and completed a BA in Psychology. She returned to CU Denver for a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an elementary teaching licensure. After working in marketing and education, Alison discovered her passion for numbers while executive director for another Chaffee County-based nonprofit.
Alison is thrilled to be part of the team at BGCCC - an organization so integral to supporting youth and families in the Arkansas Valley. She balances time spent in QuickBooks by being outdoors and as active as possible. Much more of a warm weather fan, Alison loves to mountain bike, river raft and explore the desert and mountain backcountry.

Tessa Lance
Development Director
Tessa first became involved with BGCCC as an AmeriCorps volunteer in 2018. After moving away for a few years, Tessa happily returned to Chaffee County and the Boys & Girls Club as the Development Director. She strongly believes in the power of Boys & Girls Clubs and loves supporting our kids and staff. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Humboldt State University and a Master's degree from Illinois State University. Outside of the Club, you can find her on a local trail, river, or chasing her dog!

Madison Lindquist
Branch Director

"I first joined the BGC organization as an AmeriCorps volunteer a few years ago in Canon City after earning my bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University in Mass Communication. I have since worked with youth in several different compacities as an Academic Coach for a hybrid high school, and lastly as a Site Lead at a Boys and Girls Club in Texas. I am so excited to work with and serve the families and kids in Buena Vista. Outside of the club, you can find me stumbling up mountains, forcing my dog to get fresh air and not sleep all day, or cooking up new recipes!"

Sue Lathrop
Front Desk
"The Boys & Girls Clubs expose kids to opportunities they might otherwise never experience. I’m glad to be with the Club because it has set up a safe place for kids to be themselves. It’s as much fun as living on a boat for 12 years with a husband, three kids, one dog, two cats and a fish, which means I love it here!
I spend a great deal of time expressing my creativity through fiber arts. It's been so fulfilling to teach kids knitting and weaving on our generously donated looms. Their creations are amazing!"

"I have been with The Club since June of 2023. I taught high school for 17 1/2 years in Colorado Springs and have been substitute teaching in Buena Vista for 13 1/2 years. My passions are skiing, hiking, and paddle boarding, cycling, and working out. I enjoy being active with the kids at Club, and get as much energy from them as I give. It is always a win-win for me!"

I’m passionate about helping young people grow and discover their strengths. I excel in the outdoors, the arts, and sports, and I love sharing those passions with others. My goal at the Boys & Girls Club is to be a positive mentor and role model, encouraging kids to try new things, build confidence, and find joy in what they do."

Ally Sloan
Branch Director
Email: salidaclub@bgcchaffee.org
"I originally joined the BGCCC family back in 2019 as an AmeriCorps volunteer. I have a Master's in Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania and a Biology degree from Fairfield University. I returned to the Salida Club as the Program Director in 2023, and now I'm the Branch Director.
I have always loved working with youth and am always excited to come to work. The kids challenge me each day and I always learn something new. The Boys & Girls Club’s mission is something I strongly support and I am grateful to have the opportunity to get to know our next generation. When I am not running around with the kids at the club, you can find me hiking and biking in the mountains, or in the winter at Monarch as much as possible!"

Marissa Davis

“I joined the Boys and Girls Club because I have a passion for child development, and the BGC offers many unique experiences for kids to learn and grow. I work as a Preschool Teacher by day and manage the BGC Front Desk by night. I enjoy interacting with kids and their families.”

"I’m so grateful to work at the Salida Boys & Girls Club with the most amazing kiddos in such a beautiful place! Supporting young people and helping them grow into confident, kind, and capable individuals is something I’m deeply passionate about. That passion took root during my college years at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I spent my summers working as a camp counselor. Outside of the Club, you’ll usually find me skiing, rock climbing, hiking, or acting as my dog’s emotional support human. I love bringing my passion for the outdoors and positive energy into everything I do with the kids each day."

This is my first year as an AmeriCorps member under RAD. I love working and learning from kids. You can learn a lot from kids! When I’m not at the club, you can find me basking in the sun, cooking or traveling!"

Mia Supan
Program Director

"I grew up in a small town just south of Guadalajara, MX, before moving to Denver for college, where I earned a degree in Environmental Science with minors in Leadership and GIS at the University of Denver. Earlier this year, I moved to Salida as an AmeriCorps educator for Guidestone and had the pleasure of working with the Boys and Girls Club at the Youth Farmer's Markets.

Engaging kids in environmental education has been incredibly meaningful to me, and I’m passionate about empowering youth with the tools and resources to grow and contribute to a better world, which is how I found my place at the BGC. In my free time, I enjoy going dancing with my partner, and being outdoors."
