Building Great Futures Capital Campaign
“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.” ~Forest Witcraft

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County provide a safe environment for youth of all backgrounds to come together—A PLACE THEY CAN CALL THEIR OWN. Our programs and staff nurture young people's sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, self-esteem and competence. This gives them the skills, knowledge and support to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Our Clubs currently touch the lives of one in every three children in our county and have a profound impact on our community. To meet the growing needs and numbers of local youth to benefit from these programs, NEW FACILITIES ARE NEEDED IN SALIDA AND BUENA VISTA. With your help and investment, we can serve not only current members, but reach even more youth, more often, with quality programming in quality spaces.

In 2020, our Salida Club moved from a shared rental space to a commercial property that we purchased. In Buena Vista, we are in the early stages of planning to build a Club facility to replace the rental space in Avery Parsons Elementary School that we currently occupy. We need our friends and all of our generous donors to help provide these new homes for our Club kids.

The goal of our current BUILDING GREAT FUTURES CAPITAL CAMPAIGN is to pay down the mortgage of the new Salida Club; complete interior and exterior improvements; and provide our staff, members and volunteers with a safe and functional facility. To see the progress we've made, take a virtual tour of the Salida Club.

We've reached 96% of our $1.739 million goal, and with YOUR help, we can raise the remaining $73,000.
