The Salida Boys & Girls Club serves all children between the ages of 6 and 18. The Club’s program promotes and enhances the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. The Club is a safe place to learn and grow, all while having fun. It's the place where great futures are started each and every day.
The after-school program begins Mondays through Thursdays at 3:45 pm, and on no-school Fridays the Club is open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Full-day summer programs are also available. Led by professionally trained staff, programs such as Power Hour (homework help), Fiber Arts, the Social Action Project, Arduino and Spark Fitness inspire and enable kids to realize their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens.
Responding to the needs and interests of its members over the interests of its members, Club participants have recreated a life-sized woolly mammoth, learned to fly drones, played pickleball and competed in the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s National Fine Art Exhibit.
Award Winning Programming
The staff members of the Salida Club are thrilled and honored to receive a local award in 2016 for the Best Non Profit and Best Place to Volunteer in Salida.
