ONE REASON WHY BGCCC WORKSSalida Branch Director Tammy Cannedy
I would like to nominate Tammy Cannedy for the Employee of the Month. Since joining the Boys & Girls Clubs, the Salida Club has grown tremendously. Her "can do" attitude has helped the organization secure a free summer lunch program for all children, expanded the programs to enrich the lives of members and partnered with numerous local agencies on tobacco prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. Not only that, but the Club has a dedicated space for teens that is fun and engaging. Her leadership, compassion and dedication to our local youth make her the best candidate for Employee of the Month!
Everybody loves Tammy — from the kids, parents and co-workers. As a parent I appreciate how she tackles the tough relationship issues and lets each young person be heard. She listens to what the kids want to do and keeps the club a fun place to come. As a co-worker I love how she stays on top of the whole job. As a friend, she’s always there with a strong shoulder for support.
Tammy is a tremendous supervisor and coworker because she seeks to maintain that her staff is provided for before even herself. She would put her neck on the line for any of her fellow staff members at any time and is always open to our needs and responds to them accordingly. Tammy also goes above and beyond her required duties, often sacrificing her own time and life in order to help out the Club. Her work is a true inspiration to those around her and it is her dedication that helps us all stay focused, especially during these long summer days.
A great leader, a passionate branch director and a strong team player. Tammy has a tough job and makes it look easy. Anyone see that she loves her job, the club and most of all the kids. Many days she is first one in and last one out and all the while she has a smile on her face and a chipper disposition. She cultivates a team atmosphere and inspires those around her to do a great job! Thanks for ALL you do for the club Tammy! Congratulations!
